Federer equals Pete's 64 career title in Stockholm

My neighbour's dog is safe after Roger blasted underdog Florian Mayer in Sunday's Stockholm finals 6-4 6-3 in nearly a little over an hour.  My prediction was spot on but it wasn't really something that come as a surprise considering I've only heard of the name Florian Mayer the past weeks after he
defeated Robin Soderling in straight sets in the quarters with ease.

Even though Stockholm Open is only an ATP 250 tournament, not a very prestigious and competitive tournament compared to the Masters 1000.  It's still a good win for Roger as he claimed his 3rd title of the year, 64th overall equaling Pete Sampras' record.  He's also right on track to end the year on a bright note after successive setbacks in previous tournaments.

Next stop would be the Davidoff Swiss Indoors on Nov. 1 where Federer will play in front of his home crowd.  This would not only be a good chance to win consecutive tournaments after a long while, and to also further solidify his buildup to the ATP World Tour Finals in the O2 Arena competing againsts the top 8 players in the world.  Nothing would be sweeter than playing in the finals, beating Rafael Nadal, and lifting the trophy there.
